About Railey Vacations
A Legacy at Deep Creek You Can Trust!
The Railey Family History
In the early 1900s, C.M. Railey and his logging crew helped clear the future lakebed of Deep Creek Lake. Through close work with the Pennsylvania Electric Company, he acquired a lakeside parcel. After the lake filled in 1925, the Railey family opened the Lakeside Park & Stone Tavern, featuring a sandy beach for visitors. As tourism grew in the 1930s, they built small cabins for the “vacationeers” visiting Deep Creek, pioneering businesses and opportunities around the lake for decades to come.
Built from a Legacy
Founded in the 1980s as Railey Mountain Lake Vacations (now Railey Vacations), the company created a safe, efficient way for second homeowners to rent their properties to guests. With Nancy Railey’s forward-thinking approach, the team managed both home care and guest bookings, making it easier than ever to share the lake life experience.
Railey Vacations Now
While vacation rentals have evolved, our commitment to guests and homeowners remains the same: exceptional service. With decades of local industry experience, our management team streamlines the rental process for both guests and homeowners.
The Railey Difference
We constantly collaborate to bring innovative ideas that improve every stay. Our goal is simple: guests who can’t wait to return to Deep Creek Lake and the priceless memories made here.
